Misdemeanors

 In Texas, criminal offenses are classified under the Texas Penal Code by offense levels from least serious to most serious. Our office handles Class A & B Misdemeanors, including the following offenses, but not limited to, Assaults, Domestic Violence, Thefts, Driving While Intoxicated, Burglary of Vehicle, Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Restraints, Violation of a Protective Order/Bond Conditions and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

  • In Texas, a Class A misdemeanor carries a range of punishment up to one year in jail and/or a fine of up to $4,000.
  • In Texas, a Class B misdemeanor carries a range of punishment up to 180 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,000.

Felonies

In Texas, criminal offenses are classified under the Texas Penal Code by offense levels from least serious to most serious. Our office handles State Jail Felonies, Third-Degree Felonies, and Second-Degree Felonies, including the following offenses, but not limited to, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Other Drug Related Offenses, Assault Family Violence with a Prior Conviction, Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger, Theft of a Firearm, and other offenses.

  • In Texas, a Second-Degree felony carries a range of punishment ranging from 2 to 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
  • In Texas, a Third-Degree felony carries a range of punishment ranging from 2 to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
  • In Texas, a State Jail felony carries a range of punishment ranging from a minimum of 180 days to 2 years in state jail and/or a fine of up to $10,000.

Probation Revocations

Motor Vehicle Violations and Other Offenses

In Texas, criminal offenses are classified by offense levels under the Texas Penal Code and Texas Transportation Code from least serious to most serious. Our office handles Class C misdemeanors, including the following offenses, but not limited to, Driving While License Suspended/Invalid, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility (No Auto Insurance), Following Too Closely, Expired Registration, Speeding, Ran Red Light, Simple Assault, Public Intoxication, and more.

  • In Texas, Class C misdemeanors are punishable by fine only, generally not to exceed $500.

Expunctions and Nondisclosure Order

In Texas, some criminal offenses may be removed (expunged) or sealed (by a nondisclosure order) from your criminal record. For instance, if you’ve been acquitted of an offense or your case has been dismissed, you may qualify for an expunction. Similarly, certain offenses that resulted in a formal resolution, such as community supervision (AKA deferred adjudication), may qualify for a nondisclosure order sealing the case from public record.
